Consultancy services
Our team includes specialists in open grants data, with significant experience of charity data and analysis. To increase the analysis and shared use of open grants data, we provide three main consultancy services:
Bespoke analysis
We can produce bespoke analysis for individual funders, or groups of funders who are looking to find out more about how they fit into a wider picture of grantmaking. For example, our analysis can show the funding landscape around a particular theme or area, and ‘Who funds with who’ (which shows where funders have recipients in common with each other).

Before we produce any bespoke analysis for you, get in touch with an outline of what you are interested in, and we will arrange to have an initial conversation so that we can produce a brief and quote that aligns to your needs. Our team will then be in touch with a proposal on the structure and content of the analysis.

Data cleaning
Want to publish your data using the 360Giving Data Standard, but need extra help to prepare the data? We can clean, combine and format data held in files or grants management systems, to ensure its ready for publishing, and also to improve the quality of data in your internal systems.
Here are some examples of what our data cleaning can include:
- Identifying and reconciling duplicate data
- Checking and cleaning organisational data, verifying names and matching with official identifiers
- Verifying and matching location data against official sources
- Joining together and consistently formatting data held in different files or database systems.
Data enrichment
We offer data enrichment services to enhance your data with external open datasets, like data from the Charity Commission, population data from the Census or Indices of Multiple Deprivation, to increase its usefulness.
Our data enrichment services will support you to undertake analyses of your performance and how well you are achieving against your strategic priorities. You can test your assumptions, and find out more about how external data can sit alongside data published using the 360Giving Data Standard.
