Grantmakers combine to get insights on their data

By

Thank you to the 70 grantmakers and partners who came along on Monday 4th March 2019 to get their hands on our new grants data visualisation platform 360Insights for the first time. There was such a positive energy in the room!

Our founder and Chair Fran Perrin opened the afternoon by celebrating how far 360Giving has come in three years and thanking all those involved. “With 360Insights anyone can now begin to tell detailed stories with the information that’s been collected”, she said.

We were delighted that Paul Streets, CEO of Lloyds Bank Foundation gave such an inspiring keynote emphasising how crucial it is to a funder to be data-informed.

The audience was then treated to two case studies, where Adam Lopardo of Tyne & Wear and Northumberland Community Foundation and Farah Elahi of the Greater London Authority both demonstrated what they can learn from seeing their data on 360Insights.

The two main people behind building the platform, David Kane and Mor Rubinstein, explained why we created it and how to use it.

And then came the main event – where everyone worked together in facilitated groups to play with the platform and their own data.

We were particularly grateful for people sharing their feedback about how they plan to use it, what they liked about it and issues they found. We are looking closely at these and how to respond to needs.

We enjoyed sharing 360Insights with everyone, and found it interesting to see how you are using it to combine and visualise data about your grantmaking.

If you’d like help to make the most of 360Insights we’ve written a simple tutorial.

Don’t forget you can also book an Office Hour with us for one to one guidance on how to use data to support your grantmaking. It’s free! No question is too big or too small so please book your session.
